Cycle

Cycle stands over 10 feet tall and 7 feet in diameter. The form of the iron sculpture spirals upwards, as outlines of different species of small animals walk, run, jump and fly up towards the sky. A bicyclist can be seen riding below the animals. The name refers to the cycle of motion each species is portraying, the bicyclist and his harmonious relationship to the movement of the species surrounding him, and the cycle of life we are all a part of.

The graduating class of the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine dedicated the sculpture Cycle to UF, in memory of Dr Kevin Anderson in May 2011.  The sculpture will remain a permanent fixture of the New Small Animal Hospital on UF campus.
